Question N00b Questions

Hi there,
first of all, I tried the search option but I had no luck so I btoer you all.

I just started a Ranger but I played another character and I would like to mail the items and cash I had from one to the other.

I was told is possible, how?

Where can I buy bags, it seems there is a place in the starting city but I can't find a vendor.

Lastly, I am level 5 Ranger, I like it but I can not find any one where I can spend the 5 skill points I have, where should I go?

I already went to the 2 NPC where I learned to charm and the worms quest to get the markmanship abilities.

As a general class information, if I do not dual class (for lack of better words) am I losing out oris the same? It seem all the abilities available in cross class are variation of a similar theme. Any comment on this?

Thank you all in advnace,

M

Ok all the things you want to do , you cant do where you are at. You are presantly in pre searing ascelon, which is like a training area to get an idea of how to play the game, when you are ready to move on say at about lvl 10 (once you get 2ndry profession) you go to post searing ascelon (talk to person at gate where you started game).

In post searing ascelon talk to Xani Agent to open bank account, here you can deposit money and items that will be accessable to your other characters.

Your skill points and gold is used to purchase more skills , a skill trainer also found in post searing ascelon.

to exchange items, use the stock: you can find one in each town/outpost in post-sear
for bags, you can trade them to collectors. there is one in ascalon who'll give you a bag for 4-5 charr "fur" <- don't know the exact english name sry.
to spend your skill points, you can buy skills to the skills trainer, there is one in each town and some in outposts

and you can't actually be only ranger if you play PvE. you need a 2nd profession to continue the game .

PS: you can't spend skill points in pre sear ( =the land with bambi's and childs dancing in green grass) neither have bag (correct me if I'm wrong)

anymore questions -> PM i'll try to help

To switch items from a character to character use Xunlai Agent [Storage] in each city/town (If you're in pre-searing ascalon - training area that is not yet possible until you come to post searing ascalon). If you're playing in Factions (Jade Island area you can do that there).

You can buy bags at most of [Merchant]'s, altho in pre-searing ascalon is not possible, but same as above, in post searing it is, same as Jade Island. (You really should've stated where you are atm but np).

And again, since I dunno if you started Prophecies character or Factions... I must tell that if you're at Tyria (Prophecies campaign) I wouldn't use Skill points just yet becasue they are used to BUY new skills, and with each bought skill price of next skill jumps and goes like that up to 1000gold (1 platinum) and that's a cap. Rather play and obtain new skills from quests and later buy what you really need and didn't find. However if you're in Jade Island (Factions campaign) you must buy necessery skills (the one you like/need) because after some skills you DO get for free at start, later you must buy all you want/need.

If you don't choose secondary profession you can't go further I think in Jade Island but you can in post-searing Ascalon. However you do NOT gain anything if you don't choose it so I recommend to choose it and you can still use only Ranger part... later on you can choose another secondary profession that you like more.

Have fun.

it never hurts to choose a secondary profession. And if ur playing Prophecies, then i beleive its a necessity. if u r (playing Prophecies) then just continue doing the Primary Quest(s) i suggest u leave Pre-Searing at about lvl 7-8 with about 1-3K gold....the more gold, the more useful, trust me. in the ... future Ascalon there will be a merchant that sells bags... at i think 500g each (u can get 2) there will also be a storage guy where u can deposit money/weapons globally for all ur charactures. eventually a different post will contain runes of holding, which doubles ur bag size (1 rune, 1 bag)

skill points are used for the soul purpose of buying new skills from skill trainers (in Post-Searing) along with XXX amount of money

n e questions u can PM me. IGN: Romulus HighWind or Remus HighWind
